Removing running headers from a 585-page report
Updated:
Long reports repeat the chapter title and page number on every page, and a line-by-line conversion puts them in the middle of sentences. On the 585-page 9/11 Commission Report the EpubCC engine detects them by comparing pages and removes them.
Original and result
Running headers and page numbers on every page, chapters and endnotes, 585 pages.

Limitations we observed
- There is no independent reference text for this document, so only margin leak, time and memory are measured.
- The margin-leak metric is only reliable for engines that split lines like pdftotext -layout.
