EpubCCWhat is Send to Kindle?
Updated:
Send to Kindle is Amazon's service for delivering your own documents to a Kindle library, through an app, a web page or a personal Kindle email address. It accepts EPUB files and converts them to Amazon's format for the device.
Why it matters when you convert a PDF to EPUB
It is the simplest way to read a converted PDF on a Kindle: convert the PDF to EPUB, send the EPUB, and the book appears in your library. Because Amazon converts the EPUB again, a valid EPUB (no EPUBCheck errors) is the best guarantee that it goes through cleanly.
Amazon's help page (read on 2026-11-04) lists EPUB among the formats Send to Kindle supports, accepts documents of up to 200 MB through Send to Kindle for Web, and limits an email to 25 attachments and 50 MB in total.
How EpubCC handles it: the EPUB you download is a normal EPUB 3 file that you send yourself; EpubCC never connects to your Amazon account or sees your Kindle email address.
