EpubCCHow do I convert a very large PDF to EPUB?
Updated:
Upload it to EpubCC: large PDFs are sent from your browser straight to the conversion engine in resumable pieces, so a dropped connection or a closed tab continues where it stopped instead of starting over. The free 5-page sample accepts any PDF up to 200 MB, on any plan, so you see the result on your own file first. Converting the whole book depends on your plan, from 20 MB on Free to 200 MB on Business.
How the upload works
- Your browser sends the PDF in pieces of a few megabytes, directly to the conversion engine. The website never receives the file.
- Each piece is confirmed before the next one goes. If the connection drops, the upload retries by itself and continues from the last confirmed byte.
- If you close the tab, choose the same file again on the converter page and the upload continues where it stopped. You can also pause and resume it.
- You see the megabytes sent, the speed and the time left while it uploads.
Limits per plan
- Free: files up to 20 MB and 100 pages.
- Pro: files up to 100 MB and 1,000 pages.
- Business: files up to 200 MB and 2,000 pages.
After the upload
The engine counts the pages and checks that the PDF can be read in seconds, so you see the page count and what the full book costs before the free sample is ready. The sample and the full book come from the same upload: you never upload the PDF twice.
